ESS5 release
The first edition of data and documentation for ESS round 5 was released 26.10.11.
Edition 1.0 includes Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
Parents' occupation files and interviewer data files have also been released for the countries included in edition 1.0 of the main data file (listed above).
ESS round 5 includes rotating modules on the topics: Work, Family and Well-being: The Implications of Economic Recession (also fielded in ESS round 2) and Trust in Criminal Justice: A Comparative European Analysis

ESS2 Corrected design weights for France
The design weight for France in ESS round 2 has erroneously been set to 1 for all respondents. A new file containing the corrected variable DWEIGHT for France has been made available from the ESS2 Data download section.

ESS4 Second edition (2.0) of interviewer data
A second edition of the interviewer data (edition 2.0) was released on February 02 2011. Additional countries in the interviewer data file: Ireland and Lithuania.
